Chapter Four~ Only In His Dreams

"Let all cats old enough that can catch their own pray, gather here beneth Highrock for a Clan Meeting!"
Ashkit watched as cats began to gather under Highrock. He and his sister would be able to go to join the crowd, but they got caught for sneaking out yesterday. He signed, and layed down on a patch of old moss. He gazed up at Lilykit and Seedkit who were making their way up to Brambelstar, their pelts shining and glossy in the dim sunlight. Ashkit looked at Lilykit, and he blushed, she was so beautiful. Her dark tabby fur, reflecting the sunshine off of it, just the warm feeling welled in his heart. He sees her in his dreams, him and her, agantist the world. He closed his eyes picturing them together, and smiled purring loudly, not really noticing. His thoughts were then burst when he heard Bramblestar speak, and he quickly got up watching his leader. Blazekit had walked beside him, gazing up at Highrock from the nursery. Their mother sat a couple inches away outside of the nursery, almost blocking their view.
"I am glad to annonuce that Lilykit and Seedkit have reached their sixth moon and are now ready to be apprenticed. You two may step forward." Bramblestar meowed, and the two padded forward, sitting down, and looked up at the leader. He purred, and started to speak once again, "Do you both promise to learn the ways of the Warrior Code, so may one day you can become warriors?"
"I do" Seedkit purred. And Lilykit said the same after her.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I shall grant your apprentice names. Lilykit, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Lilypaw. I wish for Brackenfur to be your mentor, and I know he will teach you well."
Brackenfur stepped forward touching noses with Lilypaw, and she smiled purring.
"Seedkit. Until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Seedpaw. Whitewing. You will be Seedpaw's mentor, and I know that you will teach her well."
The white she-cat walked forward, a little surprised she was picked, but nodded, and touched noses with her apprentice. Soon Bramblestar commanded that the meeting was over, and all the cats went back to their normal activites.

Lilypaw had passed Ashkit and Blazekit, and he purred walking after her. "Lilypaw!" Ashkit meowed, and the she-cat stopped turning around, "Congratsulations!"
"Thank you Ashkit! I can't wait until your a apprentice, then we can train together!"
He blushed a little, and looked away shyly. "O-O-Okay.."
"Well, Brackenfur's taking me to look at the territory, so, I'll see 'ya later!" She purred and padded away to her mentor. Ashkit watched her leave, and smiled. ~2 moons! Please, oh please come fast!~ He thought, and turned around, bumping right into his sister. She had a smirk on her face, and her eyes were lowered, "Ashkit and Lilypaw sitt'in in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" She teased.
"H-Hey! Stop!" Ashkit blushed, then growled playfully knocking her down, "Please don't speak so loud..I'm shy!"
"No, I haven't noticed." She pushed him off, "Well, there's nothing to do."
"Maybe we can ask Snowkit, Dewkit, and Amberkit if they wanna play moss-ball with us?"
"Htmph. Those fox-hearts don't want to play with us." Blazekit grunted slightly, and rolled over on her back, "Just want me and you to play moss-ball? I bet I'll beat your record!"
"You wish." Ashkit mewed and got a moss-ball, and pawed it fastly to her. She quickly got up, and blocked it with her tail, and threw it over. Ashkit bumped it with his head, and it flew fastly past Blazekit, "Ha!" He laughed.
"Grr.."
"You know I always beat you, 'lil sis" He giggled sitting down. She reared back, and lunged forward pinning him down. "I'm older than you, mouse-brain."
"So?"
"So, that means I should be calling you 'lil bro." She meowed and let him go, and layed down, "Your being mean anyways."
"I'm not being mean!" Ashkit hissed, "Were just playing right?"
Blazekit giggled, "Your so gulible. I was picking at you, this is what brothers and sisters do!"
"O-Oh.." He layed down, feeling his sister's fur agantist his. He hoped she wouldn't go on about him having a crush on Lilypaw. He hoped.
