Chapter one, Darkstar's meeting

Maplepaw whipped her head around to the sound of her leader Darkstar's voice, She sprang from her den to see he was calling a Clan meeting. She swiftly ran across the clearing to the meeting spot and sat beside Tawnypaw her sister.
"I wonder what Darkstar will say" Tawnypaw meow made Maplepaw jump.
"I-I don't know" Maplepaw mewed.
Heatherclaw the deputy made her way up beside Darkstar, they exchanged glances and nodded.
Murmers struck through the Clan wondering what was going on.
Finally Darkstar walked up to the edge of Nightrock and flicked his tail.
"Me and Heatherclaw talked about a attack on BreezeClan for stealing our pray, However we will not attack until after the next gathering. First we need to question them and see if they really are stealing our pray"
Shadowthorn let out a snarl of protest"They ARE stealing are pray!!! Let's just attack them and get it over with!!"
Hawkfire looked at Shadowthorn and nodded"Let's just attack them!!" He faced Darkstar with his amber eyes gleming of anger.

Yowls among from the Clan, each cat growling at on another about what to do. Maplepaw heard Icepaw and Brookpaw snarling they should attack while Wolfpaw didn't agree. Tawnypaw gave her a nudge.
"I don't think we should fight, It will be bloodshed without a answer"
Maplepaw nodded then faced her leader who was giving his Clan a stern look.
"Enough!!!" Yowled Darkstar as he showed his teeth"We WILL attack if I say so shut your mouths or spend a moon serching the elders for ticks!!"
Silence came, no cat move and sat still execpt Shadowthorn who still looked angry shaking her fur.
Heatherclaw came forward, "Darkstar is right, we need no bloodshed without a answer!!"
Maplepaw glanced at Tawnypaw~She was right~ She thought looking up at Darkstar again.
"Now, if anyone speaks or even metions a battle you'll be spending much time with the elders" Darkstar annouced as he padded down Nightrock giving Heatherclaw's ear a lick.

Maplepaw saw Ghostwhisker and Redface look at eachother strangly, Windshadow grunted and padded in his den as Shadowthorn and Hawkfire both padded away growling.
"Looks like no one is happy" Tawnypaw mewed, "Come on let's see if Aquapool and Russlefur will take us hunting"
Maplepaw nodded and trotted along side her sibling, they walked over to Aquapool and Russlefur who were speaking to eachother.
"Oh hi Maplepaw, Tawnypaw" Russlefur welcomed and gave them a smile.
Russlefur has always been a kind and understanding cat, he never done a thing wrong and always respected the warrior code.
Aquapool flicked her tail"I'm guessing they want us to take them hunting"
Tawnypaw smiled"Yes since Leaf-fall is here it's best we do some hunting"
Russlefur nodded"She's right"
Aquapool gave them a curt nod"Okay me and Russlefur can teach you some night skills"
Maplepaw grew excited her first night lesson!!!

Soon a little past Moonhigh Russlefur, Aquapool, Tawnypaw, and Maplepaw made their way down the rough slope leading to the training hollow. Maplepaw's tail flicked with excitment as Tawnypaw purred. Aquapool sniffed and looked around, Russlefur pointed his tail straight to a little cave where mentors take there apprentices to train. There Russlefur and Aquapool will watch the two apprentices hunt.
"Hey Russlefur what do you want us to catch?" Asked Tawnypaw.
Russlefur sat down in the cave looking into the thick forest"First me and Aquapool will teach you to hunt at night"
"The first thing to know is listen to the sounds, tastes, smells, and movement. You can detect movement by focusing on a moving shadow." Aquapool meowed.
Maplepaw gulped, that sounded a bit too hard.
"To hunt pray focus on any moving shadow, smell, hear, and taste like Aquapool said" Russlefur added"now let's see what you two can do"
Tawnypaw was shivering as she padded away into the thick forest bramble, Maplepaw followed close behind her and stared across the night sky.
"This will be hard" Tawnypaw mewed glancing at her sister.
